Gravel Driveways using EcoGrid™

The normal route to take when creating or replacing a driveway is to install block pavoirs, which, of course, we are happy to do for you. However, this is not always the desired or practical solution.

Concrete is one alternative, but can be cold and bland. The other solution is a gravel driveway, which creates a very natural and flowing contour. In the past they suffered from 'rutting' and gravel loss over time, making them very high maitenance. Our gravel driveways use EcoGrid™, a revolutionary new recycleable honeycomb system that provides a tough, durable and maintenance free foundation that won't rut or shift..

Constructing The EcoGrid Driveway
The driveway is formed in the traditional way, with the subbase being excavated and a layer of MOT Type 1 compacted material leveled across the drive, reinforced by a geotextile membrane..
Laying The EcoGrid Driveway
The EcoGrid system is then layed across the drive, locking itself in place. The interlocking tiles fully contain all types of gravel products allowing us to infill with gravel of your texture and colour choice.

The Finished EcoGrid Driveway

Whether you’re parking your car, on foot, pushing a pram or wheelchair, you’ll find it gives a firm and stable surface that will not sink, rut or shift in any conditions even after many years of continuous use.
